The mission of the South Carolina Black Maternal Health Collective is to empower and support Black, Brown, and Indigenous women by providing culturally competent care, advocacy, and education.
Black women in the United States face significant disparities in maternal health outcomes compared to other racial and ethnic groups. SC Black Maternal Health Collective aims to provide information and resources to address the unique challenges and barriers that Black women encounter during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Our goal is to empower Black mothers, promote equitable access to quality care, and support initiatives that improve Black maternal health and well-being.
Black mothers deserve a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that allows them to nurture their families with love, care, and understanding.
